When looking for things to set up in a still life, sometimes I am thinking of an "object", while other times I look for colors I want to use. I recently picked up this cobalt blue bottle, thinking orange, orange. I have another blue bottle I am excited about painting, because the shape is just so beautiful.

Hi Kathyrn.... Thank you for leaving your lovely comment on my blog. I took your reading advice and ordered "Art and Fear" from Amazon for my Kindle and have already started it. I think your paintings are wonderful and inspiring. Love the cobalt blue vase. I did a watercolor of one several years ago and still have it. I put away painting supplies a long time ago and turned to fiber, but have been taking art classes and am feeling inspired to return to drawing and painting. I will link your blog up with mine so I remember to check back often.
